Exeter Alumni have excelled in literature. Allen Bennett, Martyn Amis and Phillip Pullman are amongst Exeter’’s alumni.
JK Rowling was elected as an honorary fellow for her contribution to children’s literacy, and Philip Pullman based his fictional ‘Jordan College’ on it.
Exeter’s chapel, inspired by Saint Chapelle in Paris, is an outstanding example of architecture borne of the 19th century Oxford movement.
